I have a comment about the formatting on the index pages. I noticed this
last week when I started working with the 2a code, but didn't say anything.
Environment:
Alpha w/Digital Unix 4.0a
hypermail2a16-pl0
apache 1.3.4
Netscape Communicator 4.51
On this system, the key at the top and bottom of the all the index pages are all getting collapsed into a single line, which makes it kind hard to read, IMHO.
To see what I mean, take a look at:

I think the reason has to do with the fact that Daniel reformatted the index output to remove the bullet points
. In past versions (2.0b2 and prior), the HTML for this stuff was displayed with line breaks because it was wrapped as an unordinated list.
e.g.

About this archive

Messages sorted by:
[ author ]
[ date ]
[ thread ]

Other mail archives

However, the new version removes the
and
tags, and this causes the information to be collapsed. I think this makes it a little hard to read/comprehend...
e.g.
About this archive
707 Messages sorted by:
[ author ]
[ date ]
[ thread ]
Other mail archives
I'd like to suggest that a
be inserted at the end of each of these lines. I think it will make the index key more readable...
Is there any objection to this?
