Perhaps applying the patch would show what I changed. <LI> was removed per my previous post where I suggested that

Great! I'll see if this works. I've reported here that the options.h file is not working to define header, footer, or many other settings. Since using environment variables and command-line switches is not what I want here, I have to use an rc file or options.h. If Hypermail is migrating away from options.h, how about just eliminating it altogether? I'm running Linux and egcs 1.1-1c.
