I've checked some fixes into cvs. It was caused by a message with an unterminated mime section which wasn't handled well. I've fixed it so that for now this situation will produce a message with this body:
Hypermail was not able to parse this message correctly. I will try to improve it later so that it displays the raw text of the faulty message instead.
