[hypermail] newbie: installing hypermail

hi,

i have just downloaded hypermail. i read the readme doc but i have not found some tips.
i would like to know where should i install it. i have a web server and a mail server. can i install hypermail over web server and configure it to get/post mail to a mail account in my mail server? how many mail accounts do i need?
i do not understand very well the way hypermail works. any suggestions will be pleased,
